5. And another thing

You know how you sometimes drive past an old building being torn down and find out it's being replaced by something similar, like an old hotel being torn down to be replaced by another hotel? We might have loved that old hotel (or house or apartment) but what we didn't know that it had asbestos, or lead paint. We didn't know that the size and floorplans were antiquated. We didn't know that it wasn't energy efficient or that it had foundation problems.

Sometimes you can remodel, but sometimes it's just more efficient and cost effective to start all over. The ACA was, as Joe Biden said, a BFD. But there are still too many who don't have insurance or the insurance they have still breaks them with deductibles, copays and denial of payment. We tried to work WITH the health insurance companies, big pharma and for profit hospital chains. It's time that we quit paying so much and getting so little.
