77. I am doubting her judgement and ultimately her character

Had she said that Republicans will attack Sanders as being too far left of the mainstream to elect, I would not say her own attack reflected negatively on her character. Republicans may put up an ad with a communist reference - that would be Republican framing of someone who stands for much that a majority of Democrats support. No Democrat should do that for them under any circumstances.

It would be like having Sander's campaign chair saying that if Democrats nominated Hillary Republicans would air ads with Monica Lewinski's blue semen stained dress in them.

As to judgement, FDR was called a commie too. More recently we let the Right scare Democrats into believing that being called Liberal was a political kiss of death. We gave virtually free reign to letting Republican define government as the enemy. We didn't use the popularity of Medicare to our own advantage during the last health care debates. We have left the Democratic brand to become "we are not as crazy as those other guys". That is not how we prevail.
