"The Most Happy Fella" was an ambitious, beautiful musical written by Frank Loesser in 1956. It was a departure from his previous musicals ("Where's Charley" and "Guys And Dolls"
in that this show was structured and written much like an opera - with most of the storyline communicated through song, and the dialogue was much more limited than in the usual musical show.
