28. I understand your struggle ....

I get tired of the Duck Dynasty threads, the murder threads etc. Its arguing over trivia when there are real issues we need to be agreeing on or at least finding common ground on. Being here helps get the truth out that the media can't seem share with us. Sometimes DU seems to be slagging the President worse than any teahead and I just don't get it. And it seems they want an amen corner and not a discussion.

But then I also realize that I am possession of facts and truths that I never would have known if I weren't here. And I've learned that I don't need to have the last word and that he/she who snarks last, doesn't necessarily win.

The one behavior I just do not get is those who would never ever refer to (knowing its wrong, wrong, wrong and hate speech) a Muslim as being a towel head though referring to Mormons as having magic underwear. Hate speech is hate speech.

I'm afraid if I leave I'll end up dumber than if I stay. So I stay away from Duck Dynasty threads like I do the show. When one of the Duckers start quacking their crap on their shows I'll reconsider. I'll stay off the religious threads because its just too mean and nasty mean there. I'll stay away from the murder and mayhem stuff because salacious crime stuff not about gun control makes me dumser with every word I read of it.

I'll read anything WillPitt and MannyGoldstein and Hissyspit and a whole bunch of others post because I'm much less dumb for it.
