Want to reintroduce myself [View all]
I've been lurking here for thirteen years now. I never posted much because I never had much to say. You kids covered it all pretty well. So many changes. When I started, it was a place to learn from like minds who shared some most important things. Caring enough to pass on information and worry about what happened to all of us as individual humans. When I started here in 2003, I was traveling a lot and having so much fun. I used to joke that my politics were slightly to the left of Mao. Thanks to all of you who got the joke and, here we are. I've reached the age where health, time and money are getting in shorter supply. Turns out your heartfelt stories of love, loss and life have been so important to me. You all helped me deal with changing reality. Thank you for that. I have one more trip planned to Canada this summer. After that, who knows? I just want to let you great people know that, no matter how young and stupid we may have been, we had it right the first time. Some regrets, no apologies. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.
