Peter Thiel is a managing partner at Founders Fund, a San Francisco-based venture capital firm investing in companies building revolutionary technologies. He co-founded PayPal with Max Levchin and Elon Musk, and served as CEO until it was sold to eBay in 2002.

The above article suggests he no longer has an "affiliation"; whether that also means no investment is unclear to me.
