What to do about False info postings? [View all]

So, having on a few occasions, wanting to alert posts for misinformation, I was unable to see any such option.

Given the amount of incorrect info we have all seen in posts lately - one of the most egregious or indomitable such bits of info were surrounding the recent trial in Kenosha* - is there any way to alert outright incorrect info? I know we can ask the poster to self delete, but when we get cases of the same misinformation posting over and over again, ad infinitum - well, we are just another face book or twit er.

I know it would be pretty complicated to find a way for jury or others to be able to decree what is truth - but if we have something that is outright wrong and keep coming up a gazillion times - is there any sticky or other thing that can be done to head that stuff off before people post it?

Maybe it is just my observations, but the critical thinking/educated mindset of the users here does not seem to be what it once was. No insult intended to DU or anyone here - I just wonder if there is any way to nip the misinformation in the bud, for all our own (and truth's) sakes.
Any ideas, or something I don't know about, to address this?

(*FYI, I am NOT pro Kyle R in the least - I am just citing this as an example that I think has been so flagrantly obvious of late.)
