A CDN relieves the load from client's web servers by caching content here and there, but they also provide DOS protection (Denial of Service) from bots and enemies trying to take sites down by hammering on them.

That said, they can glitch, and put you on a s**tlist if someone on your network segment is misbehaving, perhaps infected and running malware/botnet software.

I think they wanted me to solve a CAPTCHA (aka eye test) now and then. Not my cup of tea, but a site admin needs to have some defense against attacks.

Not aware of the others.
