12. For the more techie users, I recommend the GhostText extension to browsers.

It's not a "drop in" browser extension, but I did get it to work with two different browsers. It mirrors what you are typing in the text area to a text editor of your choice. I use sublime text. The editor never forgets! Only drawback is that when you preview, you have to click on its icon in the browser extension panel, and you get a new mirrored text file. But you then have versions. In Sublime Text, they are unnamed tabs, but are saved automatically (anonymously) unless deleted.


Works on Mac, Linux and Windows.
