Moreover, your argument that this wouldn't be subject to government regulation is pretty much a challenge to the interstate commerce clause of the Constitution. It might hold water, but if it does it doesn't hold very much water. In short, you're trying to reduce this question to the most absurd situation possible. At some point most trucks are sold with the intention of being used on roads, whether or not this rises to a Federal issue is a subject of debate, but it's clearly going to be a local and state issue.

BTW - if you think having handguns subject to regulation even when kept entirely on private property does not have major implications - I suggest you review the recent tragic school shooting in Chadron, Ohio.
