Quentin Tarantino is definitely his own biggest fan. There are times when I would agree with him, like for Pulp Fiction. But there are other times when I thing his oversized ego gets in the way. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is one of those times. at 2 hours 51 minutes, it's actually 6 minutes longer than Pulp Fiction. The issue? PF, with it's multiple, connected plotlines MOVED constantly. It's 2 hours and 45 minutes flew by. OUTH had me checking my watch. He could have easily cut 30 minutes from it. I feel the same about Kill Bill (could have been 1 good, tight film) and The Hateful 8. Obviously everyone doesn't agree and I guess if his movies keep making money then he gets to keep making them push 3 hours, but I think it's too their detriment.

As Faulkner said "In writing you must learn to kill all your darlings".
