(76,035 posts)I have opted not to pick a candidate to support. In large part, that is due to my own misbehavior in 2016. Not as an excuse, but as a reason, I was at the time quitting the "pain killers" (opiods) that I had been on for 13 years. I remember telling my youngest daughter that I'd likely be unpleasant for three days -- thinking that would be the path that going "cold turkey" would take. She responded, "Old Man, you've been miserable your whole life." Perhaps she was correct. Either way, it was a terrible time for me, and I lashed out at people for no reason.
Anyhow. I rarely post in this forum, but when I have, I've noted that I will support whoever the party nominates. I like all of our candidates, and will work as hard as these old bones allow for our nominee. I do not participate in many discussions here, and from this vantage point, I view many of them as toxic. I do not like the attacks on any of the candidates. Nothing good can come from them.
