So, the underlying assertion that he can't work with them is false.
The assertion that no one can work with them is also false. We're working with them now to some degree, including attempts to limit Trump's war powers, which passed with a majority in the Senate.

Did he promise they'd give him everything? Nope. Is a promise that they'd work with him in some form false? Nope.
