Democratic Primaries
In reply to the discussion: Bernie Sanders telegraphed a possible drop-out after next debate: [View all]Demsrule86
(70,995 posts)48. This is not an election. It is a primary...a precursor to the election. When a canddiate can't
win mathematically, the primary is over...and the loser should concede...all this emotion over a very simple act of picking someone to run in the general..don't get it. And in this case, with Sanders spewing anti-Joe shit and his surrogates chiming in, we risk the general to allow this to continue. If Sanders cares about beating Trump and the progressive cause he will get out because if Trump wins, the election, the Progressive movement is dead. The courts are gone and we are screwed six ways to Sunday. After Tuesday only 38% delegates will be left...Sanders is losing all the Tuesday races by double digits. There is no way for him to win...he needs to go.
If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden

I imagine that Biden sees how popular Bernie's policies are if not Bernie himself.

Sanders hurts Biden and doesn't help the party by staying...he is toast and should get out.
