This is about winning in November by winning the most votes in enough states to carry the electoral college. Fortunately, skillful politicians like Joe Biden understand this. Winning involves winning over voters who were reluctant to support you, whether or not you think they should be supporting you in their own self interest anyway. If that can be done without compromising core principles, that is exactly what winning candidates set out to do.

If I were to vote in a presidential
