It was about the messanger(s) [View all]

Before the virus stories have consumed every single news, and after last week primaries, there have been stories about how, even though many supported the "left" messages, like Medicare for all, they did not vote for Sanders.

One reason, as I have posted here before, is that, once the concept of Medicare for all is explained, the support drops. Also, as discussed before, the young voters, the main supporters of Sanders, did not bother to vote.

But I think that it is also about the messengers, starting with angry Sanders. We have seen him in the debates, angry, yelling, waving his arms (didn't Biden once ask him not to do this?).

While Warren has not been as angry, she too had the "my way or the highway." If you disagree with her ideas than: "what are you doing on the debate stage?" "In what primary is he running?"

Also AOC and her "squad." All freshly elected to Congress, from solidly Democratic districts but who thought that they won big. And instead of trying to learn the ways of the House, decided that they were going to fight the "Democratic establishment" starting with Speaker Pelosi who was instrumental in flipping the House. They joined the "revolution" with a an implied goal of destroying the Democratic party as we know it.

Guess what, most primary voters disagree with this goal.

In this county where the "it's a free country" is cherished, most do not want anyone, including, and especially government to tell them what to do. Except when we want it, of course, like these days.

The nature of a revolutions, is that there are no compromises. This is why, historically, they have been bloody. The leaders are dedicated, consumed, charismatic know precisely what they preach and many are entranced. Many, but not the majority.

I have often wondered why so many supported Sanders who is not even a Democrat.

Now I wonder now why so many here want Warren to be Biden's running mate when she has yet to endorse him.

Biden has been reported to make concessions to "the left." I hope that he will not. i hope that he stays on message of hope and conciliatory, not of anger. I hope that he will continue to see the good in the country and not of the awfulness that the "revolutionaries" see.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden
