I lived through the same in 2016 with Hillary, although not necessarily with the same people.
But what I find most sad is that some of those who gleefully post something where they perceive that Elizabeth has made a faux pas or is losing support - in their opinion - were also Hillary supporters in 2016. They seem to have forgotten that it is much the same dynamic at work in this cycle, e.g., sexist in that they are willing to overlook things like the Iraq War vote in Biden (and in Kerry in 2004) whereas Hillary was constantly excoriated for it in 2016.
If anything, she of the three had an excuse. She was a junior Senator and was from NY, a prime target of 9-11, and feelings were STILL running high there. Both Kerry and Biden were supposedly foreign policy buffs while Hillary's focus was primarily domestic. Yet both of the soi-disant foreign policy "experts" failed that particular test.
Some are also anti-anyone who may ever have had Republican connections. Hillary had them too and was, again wrongfully, IMO, excoriated for them. One big difference between them is that Hillary has always been politically active whereas Elizabeth was not until comparatively recently. Once Elizabeth became politically active, she became a Democrat. Since then, anything she has done has been for the betterment of the party as a whole. Unlike some current candidates, her loyalty to the party has NEVER been in doubt.
The problem, IMO, is that some simply refuse to see that their chosen candidate may be much more vulnerable once the GOP smear machine really gets underway in the GE than Elizabeth will be.
Most of the smears against her have already played out and she is STILL standing.
