And theyre not just inconvenienced they're dead, says Jenice Fountain, executive director of the Yellowhammer Fund, which helps women access reproductive care in the South. There's a long legacy of targeting Black women and their bodies, including forced sterilization, says Georgetown Law global health policy scholar Dr. Michele Goodwin.
