when will we see him in jail? (Incidentally that would make a great last line for anyone who has the time and creativity to write a parody of Barry Manilow's "Weekend in New England" - it's been an earworm for me for some time but I just don't have the time and energy.)
I expecit it will be first in New York or Georgia. But I wouldnt rule out a federal prison. That "Appendix" of Jack' Smith's was a masterly job of explaining why Jan 6 had zip to do with official acts. "Masterly" is nto just my word, it's been used by knowledgeable attorneys in regard to it.
Andm yes, it's slow. t's been slow. It will continue to be slow. Sure, a defendant has a right to a speedty trial - but also a right to seek postponements if the defendant does not want a speedy trial. In my experience, not as an attorney or any court-related employment, but as an observer from outside, it is when the courts are slow that they are doing their job - and giving cases the attention they deserve. It's when they go too fast that defendants can get railroaded, or conversely, people who should be defendants get away with stuff. Yes, it's agonnizing for victims - ans we are all victims of Trump**.Not that I claim to be as smart as other people who are saying similar things.
