He was the main force behind the “oust Biden” movement.

He also professed absolute certainty all the way through Election Day that Harris would win. Great political instincts there, Jimmy.

I think people need to realize that not only is Carville well past his sell-by date, he was really a quite average political strategist who had the good fortune to hitch himself to a massively charismatic candidate with brilliant political instincts just at the moment where the rise and subsequent fall of Shrub’s popularity due to economic collapse drove all other potential Democratic challengers out of the race, leaving his guy as the Last Democrat Standing, facing a now hugely unpopular incumbent…and who, having lucked out in 1992, managed to spread the myth that he was the brains behind their electoral success, rather than just a fortunate hanger-on.
