For many institutions of higher edespecially public schoolsCARES Act emergency relief funding just scratched the surface of what they need to survive, and states already stretched thin by the pandemic are struggling to close that gap.
How are state leaders responding to increased financial need from their public university systems? What guidance are they providing to colleges around their fall reopening plans to keep students and faculty safe? And what action do states need the federal government to take to protect and support their higher ed students and systems in this critical time?
