287. As far as TOU are concerned, the OP has a 100% legitimate complaint.

It's just that I am a bit more more permissive than TOU. Makes my life easier - no desire to alert anyone, and I learn how similar the fallacies used by the far left are to those used by the far right (I must admit that I occasionally get into heated discussions with the far right on their forums as I do with the far left posters here on DU). It's always a learning experience.

I don't believe that all the gloom and doom talk here is malicious. To me it's more a sign of American culture in general being permeated with expectations of instant gratification, and the public in general, not just on DU, experiencing withdrawal symptoms when their expectations are not met. They just haven't learned how to cope, other than fall into depression as a default response.
