like claiming it was transgender leftist illegal immigrants crossing the border to shoot up an American school. Even Paul Gosar tweeted out that nonsense. Qanon has an even dumber conspiracy involving deep state paying off the kid to do it so Biden can ban guns. 
As for the police, yes DUers have pointed out that they are brown and from the community. This is not like some far flung suburban white cops like the George Floyd case.
Their official story is that they didn't know it was a mass shooting and thought it was a hostage situation. Which seems unlikely since those big guns are loud and this is America the land of mass shootings. The other story they have said is the local cops are not prepared for this sort of thing and waited an hour for BORTAC (the CBP tactical unit) to arrive. Those guys are trained killers and one of them took a bullet to kill the shooter. These are the commando units that Trump ordered to beat up and kidnap protestors in unmarked vans.
