18. When you think about it ... from day one

He wins the election, but nobody is there on Inauguration Day for the WH breakfast welcome traditionally hosted by every outgoing first family. The Trumps have left. The Capitol and the Inaugural decorations and scaffolding are newly repaired and replaced after being torn up during the Jan. 6 insurrection.

He takes office and guides the country through a pandemic that was at its worst with thousands of deaths every week.

And it's been a continual battle with Repukes and conservative media ever since. He accomplished much and now he's being ushered out because he's "too old" by his own party.

Enough to make me sick at best or cry at worst. He and Jill are really decent people, but the thankless country has given them the metaphorical back of its hand.
