at people, such as myself, whose complaint is "why am I forced to accept these FREAKS with their petty, cruel bigotries, their incessant hate, their endless lies, their denial of history, their violence, their worship of a fascist, etc etc etc?"

i will soon be in a situation with my oldest brother. i really do believe that i am past the point of tolerating his racist bullshit. Not that he stops there. My plan is to challenge him to acknowledge that I (me, his liberal sister) am every bit as patriotic and American as he is. I'm not going to start the conversation but I don't believe I can just let it slide as has been done for decades with him. I'm the youngest, he's the oldest. Our sister is declining with Alzheimer's and it's our most likely last chance for all 4 of us to be together at the same time. As it is we generally go years without ever talking, but now. Some things are, or should be, more important than our political differences.
