Particularly since journalists, editors and press owners would all be under the gun in a fascist state. In fact, the 'free press' is usually the first casualty in these takeovers.

Which is why sane-washing of and excuses for Trump and his Flying Monkey Brigade has never made any sense unless these owners believe they would benefit and/or could protect their turf.

They could not without bending the knee. Or worse.
