A National Park Service spokesman says the Harris campaign has amended its permit application to accommodate more than 40,000 people for the VP's "closing argument" speech on the Ellipse tonight. The ask last week was for around 20,000 people. (h/t @HallieOnNBC)

VP Harris will do five interviews today ahead of her Ellipse speech, per campaign: four battleground state TV interviews to reach voters in Detroit, Milwaukee, Philadelphia & Pittsburgh, plus a Spanish radio interview with Rumba in PA to reach Latinos, including Puerto Ricans.

The site for Harris' rally is The Ellipse, sometimes referred to as President's Park South. It's a 52-acre park south of the White House fence and north of Constitution Avenue & the National Mall in Washington, DC.
You can see in this photo that the park is indeed in the shape of an ellipse. The White House is visible through trees.
