Walking along the east side of the Ellipse ahead of VP Harris’ closing argument speech this evening. Doors for the main spectator area were meant to open around 3p — lines stretch for what seems like at least a mile down the block. Event isn’t scheduled to begin until 7.

Tens of thousands of people are lined up for Vice President Kamala Harris’s Ellipse speech that begins at 7:30 tonight.

The gates haven’t opened yet, not even for press.
