What he said was that he thought Hinchcliffe was a funny comic at roasts and what did Trumps people expect from a comic who is known for saying outrageous shit at roasts!?

It's a subtle distinction but the people jumping to shit on Stewart are too quick to judge a comedian on a comedy show who was making a bigger point. The point was this: the Trump people should have known he'd be outrageous.
