In reply to the discussion: "A sign of a huge win" for Kamala. The ground game in PA. [View all]Beacool
(30,332 posts)10. I just came back last night from Reading, PA.
Outside of Reading and other small cities, Berks County is rural. It's also Trump country. At two markets (Leesport and Green Dragon), Trump gear was everywhere. I had a conversation with several older white folks. The one issue they kept bringing up was illegal immigration. They don't care to listen to facts or reason. Their dislike of these people runs too deep. I'm holding hope for PA, but I'm not sure. Trump won in 2016 thanks to 77,000 people in three states (MI, PA and WI), 45,000 of those votes were in PA.

An anachronism. State's laws control elections within the state, even in national elections.
