the airwaves have been dominated by right-wing propaganda. Drive time talk radio is very effective at brainwashing. Rage and fear are addictive, it becomes a feedback loop.

It's easy to fall into the trap. Then they get sneered at, which only confirms their bias. Hate the sin, love the sinner takes an AWFUL lot of patience. More than I can often bring to bear.
