It was a cult from the very start, in 2016, when they rallied around him above all other GOP contenders, specifically because of his litany of malice and hate.

His MSG rally was written of as some turning point or revelation. It was neither. Nor was it an aberration. It was their 'greatest hits' edition, remastered. An affirmation of all they've been saying, and believing in, from the start.
