58. I just heard on NPR that

trump had the young male vote. They did not think the Democratic Party "spoke" to them. They thought it was too focused on abortion issues. Makes sense--these are kids 18 to, say, 25. Many aren't married or even in a relationship with a woman that they love. They certainly don't have teenage daughters to worry about. They are, at that point, the definition of "self-centered." Women's issues would be at the bottom of their priority list. Meanwhile, they thought trump did great with the economy. A 20 year old now was 12 when trump was elected in 2016 and 16 when he lost to Biden. So, these 12-16-year-old kids were right on top of the US economy under trump and that guided their vote at age 20. Yeah, right. They just don't care about women. But apparently they learned well at trump's knee about how to lie very poorly. It's not that I don't understand; I understand completely. But don't lie about how great the economy was under him.
