(1,310 posts)Good post. I will make one point, with your kind indulgence. I do not mean it to be a criticism of your post in any way.
There are never any legitimate reasons to purge voter rolls. A person dies? So what? Zombies don't vote. A person moves? So what? Do we really imagine that people are running around voting in more than one location at all, let alone in any kind of numbers that would affect the outcome of an election without getting noticed? People are criminals? So what? People are sentenced in a court of law for any crimes for which they are convicted. Punishing them again by denying them their right to vote is not legitimate. People are undocumented immigrants? That is not happening and is extremely unlikely to ever happen, and again most certainly not in any kind of numbers that would affect the outcome of an election without it getting noticed.
Yes, I have seen your posts about voter suppression. Much appreciated. Thank you.
