(10,521 posts)I think that's foolish. The problem is not Trump. The real problem is those who enabled Trump. Always has been.
They're about to change the voting laws. Who is going to stop them?
All the voters rights things the Democrats fought for ... are Trump's enablers going to make those things happen or keep them around? Maybe it is just me but I don't think so. I think it is very naïve to think so.
Trump's enablers are going to go to work to make the next election tougher to win than this one.
They'll do it at the federal level and in whatever states they can.
Citizens United. The fairness doctrine. The control of 90% of the US media is by 6 entities who like Trump's tax breaks. SCOTUS is corrupt. How do we ever hope to get get a credible, effective word in as they consolidate more control?
Four years from now, it is going to be harder. Like Trump said, this may be the last time his followers will need to vote.
The problem is much bigger than Trump and the next four years.
