(1,539 posts)called Patriots Planet. They have a subforum called the "Political Playground". A sampling of the thread titles on that board: "Moonbats Gone Wild", "The War on Free Speech", "The Woke and the War Against Them", "Vote Fraud Watch", "The Biden Crime Syndicate", "The January 6th Show", "Globalist Agenda: Where the Elites are Taking Us and Why", "DBV - Death by Vaccination", "Soros is the Enemy", "The Mindset of a Communist".
I joined the message board when the Tom Brady era started and winning was new and checked in over time because I moved away from Boston and still followed the sports teams. The people in that political subforum have been right leaning for years, but it was interesting to see their posts as things circulated on the right wing webosphere and to see how they "think".
Over the years I saw outraged threads about how liberal universities are going to falsely accuse your sons of rape, about how there were actually more Irish slaves in America than Africans, but they don't complain about it, how Massachusetts needs to join a compact so that people who are approved to carry guns in other states can concealed carry in Mass.
The people there are easy sport and for years I enjoyed being one of the few liberal people who would take them on. But, this year it became too much. There were endless vicious memes against trans people. When Dump talked about immigrants eating dogs & cats in the debate, I knew what he was referring to because I'd seen many dozens of memes of Trump carrying dogs/cats/geese under his arms while being chased by hordes of black zombies.
As the OP described, when you challenge them, many of them explode into calling you a Communist and ranting about the "woke agenda."
I'm done with this site, but it did give me more insight than I otherwise would have had into how limited and irretrievably lost many of these people seem to be. It's all about the media they consume, which continuously reinforces their views and stokes their outrage. It dumbs them down to knowing few facts, while at the same time leaving them with the belief that they're knowledgeable.
I don't think trump would have been possible without the media de-evolution that began with Limbaugh and Fox and has accelerated with the internet/social media. Now, Elon Musk will be a part of the administration for a full propaganda onslaught. All authoritarian governments have relied on manipulating the media and these morons eat it up while referring to actual fact checked journalism as "fake news".
