It’s that it has not been funded to keep pace with the ego inspired wars the US has started.

Thousands of young men and women gave their souls and bodies to support our involvement in foreign conflicts, only to come home and find no support system. When I first moved to AZ in a PCS move, I thought: well at least McCain supported the military. Big let down when he explained his support was to defense contractors who were giving “our troops the best equipment they could”…

republicans don’t give a shit about the broken bodies of their conflicts, paying the NFL to highlight service members and coining a sappy phrase is their stock in trade.
