(148 posts)4. I'm still hoping some of the guardrails hold, but can't help but worry.
A lot of the people who shoot down the wilder topics are also very informed, but historically. This time around he has more allies in all branches and time to actually plan. His first four years seemed to me like we had a President who was willing to give the republican establishment what they wanted. Now that the MAGA party is in power, who knows how far and down what weird roads well go. Its hard to know how far and by what creative means Trump can push it. At the very least, I expect he and his inner circle to make major $$ and a lot of marginalized groups to suffer more.
