Weiss didn't have jurisdiction to prosecute Hunter in California unless Garland made him a special prosecutor and Garland obliged him.

Trump claimed a 461 million dollar tax deduction on his Chicago tower during Covid, formed a holding company and double dipped on the deduction. Tax experts estimate that Trump scammed at least 100 million dollars. No investigation of that but he prosecuted Hunter who paid back what he owed.
