(3,397 posts)40. My lingering question is this: Gaetz resigned his House seat. He would have to run for
in a special election at a date decided by DeSantis. Meanwhile, once TSF takes office next year, what's to stop him from naming Gaetz to be Acting AG? No Senate approval is necessary for that post. It's limited, as I understand, to a two-year service, but Gaetz could do a ton of damage in two years.
If Gaetz opts not to run for his House seat again, it could signal that he's been promised another admin position OR will be named Acting AG.
