In reply to the discussion: My MAGA neighbor got a bit of "finding out" last night. [View all]Sympthsical
(10,402 posts)And I'm always skeptical of these kinds of tales that comport so perfectly with the political sentiment currently trending, I'm trying to divine how the behavior described should be applauded in any way.
If one of my neighbors was raving outside for half an hour, I would not be interacting with that neighbor ever again. Or at least not until I'd heard they were checked out by a mental health professional. (In my neighborhood, cops would've been called easily 10 mins in). And if I had kids, forget it. They'd not be allowed near this person. Anyone who manages that is wrestling with stability at best. What else might that person find themselves willing to do if they're already at that point?
But this is why I'm always skeptical. People do not behave this way generally. It sounds more like how people think other people in the world might behave, so there's some, uh, narrative building. Or maybe some augmentation for juiciness.
But, as you said, the FA and the FO are not what is surmised here. I think the ranter just FA'd and he's going to FO just how many normies are about to politely avoid him. Again, assuming this is true. Real people don't typically act like Twitter, which is why they're so hard to write for sometimes. If there was a cashier watching from the curb while smiling knowingly and giving a secret thumbs up, we could put a bow on this one.
