I also don't appreciate the lecture by some which can be summed up, "Be a good foot soldier. Don't be negative. Keep on keeping on." There is a difference between encouraging and motivating people and berating them for acting in what is the best course of action for them.
It's similar to market enthusiasts saying, "Never bet against the market. Traditionally, nothing returns on investment like the stock market over time. Don't try to time the market. . ." When, of course, EVERYBODY has to time the market. No human can wait indefinitely for stocks to recover. We are on a time schedule. There are people who lost everything in crash of '29 who never recovered and who did everything right. They lost everything due to the timing of their birth.
I do appreciate genuinely encouraging people/posts. ---Not so fond of the posts that are pseudo-encouraging which amount to stealth bragging and finger wagging.
