12. America is dead. The reality of what we hoped it was, the dream of what it could have been.

Eventually, when we get rid of the P25 nonsense (maybe sixty, seventy years from now), we might be able to rebuild something. But my guess is, the United States of America is bound for the history books. At best we'll fractured groups of states, most of them remnants of red states that cling together, but a complete nation, from sea to shining sea? Doubtful.

It makes me sad, but it is what it is. For the first time, I'm glad I didn't have more grandkids. I fear for my grandson, only 12 years old, but maybe my son and DIL will wise up and get out. I'd like to think all the boys would go, but I'm pretty sure that won't happen. It doesn't matter about me, I'm old, and I won't live long if I lose my benefits.
