In reply to the discussion: Kennedy's Lawyer Has Asked the F.D.A. to Revoke Approval of the Polio Vaccine [View all]Marthe48
(19,336 posts)22. My uncle survived polio
My Dad was 6'6". My uncle was about 5'5", bent and twisted. If he hadn't gotten polio, he would've been as tall as my Dad.
One of my classmates in grade school had polio, had braces on both legs and used crutches to get around.
My husband had a friend who survived polio as a child, He was the luckiest, Walked, I guess I should say lumbered, on his own.
The idea of leading with the best result for the most is gone. Now, it is a pissing contest and losers who gain a leadership role do what they want for their own pleasure. Maybe when the consumer pool turns into the consumption pool, the oligarchs will realize that their income is going to drop like a hot rock.

What the hell is wrong with these people. They can hardly wait to be able to cause the death of someone.

Truly astonishing. Lots of us on this site are old enough to remember when there wasn't a vaccine.

We have a friend in a wheelchair because of polio. She came from overseas and didn't get the shot in time.
