3. I see from your profile you are from Texas.. No personal offense intended, but count me unsurprised.

The entire West has been dealing with drought and wildfires--making those vital firefighting teams and materials a very precious commodity. The other states have at least TRIED to work together to implement threat reduction activities that likewise conserve water, including fireworks restrictions, but Abbott? Hell no. His policies on the electrical grid have likewise caused the rest of the region to pay more. Two years running 9.5% increases annually being put forth. Xcel is bailing out Abbott's failing policies in this regard and the rest of us get to fund the idiocy.

I have nothing but contempt for Texas' leaders & governmental officials on at least the state level if you haven't guessed, but it is not without ample justification.

Colorado was once red and now pretty bright blue, so I still hold out hope for Texas, however fleeting.
