2. Why not just ask if any state would secede?

FWIW, I was pulling for Scotland to vote for independence; I oppose corporate globalization schemes like the EU and NAFTA and would have welcomed a return to sovereignty and independence for Scotland, Ireland, too.

I have friends in Hawaii and Alaska who wish they would become independent, one state is blue and the other red.

Of course, no state is all red or all blue, that's just divisive.

Not sure why you're asking.
