(10,711 posts)before clintons welfare reform we had a pretty decent safety net but now cash assistance is working (volunteering) 30 hours a week or 120 hrs per month for less than 400 bucks...isn't that nearly 3rd world wages?
home ownership is down and rental prices are sky rocketing, on the 1st of the month i can't drive more than 3 blocks with out seeing the signs of an eviction....everything the renter owned tossed to the curb
fracking is probably the single biggest danger as it is poisoning our water and i really hate the fact that the US has made it official policy to export it around the world
food stamps are being cut while grocery prices skyrocket ...25% of Americans have "food insecurity"
the 99% do need the same things and have the same enemy the 1%...wether they realize it or not is a different story
btw i do agree there is confusion about who is the 1%...there are only about 4000 families world wide that have that much wealth, billionaires
99.99% would of been more appropriate but that seemed confusing
