In reply to the discussion: Washington Post publisher takes blame for non-endorsement debacle [View all]ThreeNoSeep

I cancelled my subscription until Bezos makes a new decision or the publisher leaves, and they make a Harris endorsement.
One hypothesis I toy with to explain such a blatant cowardly move is as follows:
Perhaps Bezos ran a sim/prediction model to determine the best strategic response to the variety of outcomes that could emerge from this election, and this capitulation was the least worst choice, given a Kamala win or a Trump win. In the lead up, the non endorsement provides the editorial side the outraged impetus to continue making quality reports in the face of an embarrassing abandonment of past endorsements. If (when!) Kamala wins, the WP could eventually recover the lost trust with heir leadership through new subscribers and returning former subscribers. If Trump wins, Bezos' government interests/entanglements can survive the coming years of fascism.
