Have you not seen this episode of The Twilight Zone http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/To_Serve_Man_%28The_Twilight_Zone%29?

Where "To Serve Man" doesn't mean to help our primitive species but means "to serve us for dinner". They figured out the real plan back in 1962.
