I was led to believe you are voting on 2 different things. First the recall, and then who will replace Newsom if the recall passes.
They seemed mutually exclusive, meaning you could vote in the 2nd issue, just in case the 1st one passes.

If you look at the link I supplied above he has 27% of the vote, leading Elder by 4 points

Sure. It won't count if the recall fails, and that is what we want, but if it doesn't fail I think
